Shinmachi Garden:Traditional Owase Private House

A renovated 77 year-old private house in the idyllic city of Owase, situated in the heart of the mountainous Southern-Mie prefecture, this is an excellent location to stay for both leisure and work. It is a 1-minute walk from the Kumano Kodo Iseji Street.

 

Taking our name from the old town ‘Shinmachi’, and from ‘garden’, a site of fruitful enterprise, curating artworks from a diverse range of creators has become one of our greatest pleasures.
